Family Photography-Pittsburgh, PA

Hello again to the B family! I photographed this family last November and could only photograph inside due to the cold Pittsburgh weather. We had sun and a warm temperature (almost too warm for the jeans and long sleeve shirts we were wearing) this time around. Their son was interested in playing ball outside and their daughter was not happy about pictures, which meant I was on the go the entire time chatting with kids and trying to get some smiles and stop any movement I could for a second. Mom and Dad were helpful too! This is a warm and loving family and I enjoyed photographing them again. Hopefully, photographing the B family will be an annual fall tradition.

Newborn Photography-Pittsburgh, PA

The cute little one below was born 5 weeks early but doing well at home now 2 weeks from delivery. This newborn was a great sleeper for me. She even gave me a few smiles during our photography session together. The big sister and brother were at school while I was there and we are planning sibling photographs when I return to Pittsburgh in November. Congratulations to the M family (close Pittsburgh friends), on the addition of this beautiful girl!

I returned today from a BUSY week in Pittsburgh, which included visiting with family and meeting with several clients to photograph their families (and pets too!). I was constantly on the move and all over the Pittsburgh area. The S family here are good friends of ours that I've photographed several times. We met early in the morning after my late night arrival to Pittsburgh. They recently moved into a beautiful new home, which they built, with a spacious backyard and plenty of trees to make a wonderful backdrop for these photographs. What a gorgeous sight this backyard will be when the leaves change color later this fall! Congratulations on your new home!

Newborn Photography-Tampa, FL

This sweet little one is a week old and tiny. The pink hat I used was swimming on her head, but the hat picture brings a smile to my face and I'm sure will be a reminder to mom and dad how tiny Miss S was that first week. We thought we would have trouble keeping her asleep at first but once we had her warm and cozy (a space heater did the trick, although mom and I were sweating), she slept the time away. Big sis, E, loves her little sis and has been a big help. Congratulations to this beautiful family!

Senior Portraits-Pittsburgh, PA

This session was rescheduled from the 10th since rain came down in buckets shortly after we met in Oakland for a late day session. It had been a bright and sunny day and neither of us had even thought about the possibilty of rain. Fortunately, our schedules were open for the next morning since I was leaving for Tampa on the 12th. It was overcast and humid but this Senior was determined to get her pictures (even some pictures with a jacket). I'm so glad our session worked out. Good luck this next year M!

Senior Portraits, Pittsburgh, PA

While visiting family in Pittsburgh, I had time for a few senior sessions. Last Sunday morning was beautiful in the Burgh and I drove with this senior and her parents to North Park. This was a fun session. We drove around the park stopping at different locations and J was fast at changing outfits, when needed. The sun was bright at times but we also had some key cloud cover to help with our lighting. Have a great senior year J!

Over in South Tampa (my first trip to this area), I met up with this mother & daughter to take pictures in their beautiful (relatively new) home, which was built on the spot where they have lived for many years. P & L were welcoming and I was excited to find several perfects spots for photo taking. It was nice to have the house to break in the airconditioning. P & L were fun and I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of their proofs!

This was my first family photography session here in Florida and it was hot and sunny, even early in the morning! The K family are friends of ours from South Carolina and by chance live practically down the road from us. They live in a lovely community with great landscaping, which made finding a location to photograph easy. Their little girl is so sweet and their little man, K, recently turned 3 and loves cars. This family is expanding and expecting this winter. Thanks for a great session family K.

This is my little one on vacation and almost 22 months old-2nd birthday is approaching fast! Of course, she knows all about mommy trying to get her picture and has decided she doesn't want to look at the camera. You gotta love the pigtails!

During our annual family vacation, on the last day, I was able to take updated pictures of my niece, now 4 months. The sun was blazing even before 9am and dad had a hard time keeping his eyes open from the glare of the sun off the sand. Even so, I got some great shots of this beautiful new family.

My little one, who is approaching 2, loves umbrellas. We had come inside from the rain and she wanted to keep playing with the umbrella. What a joy to have my camera for these moments.

While on a break from unpacking our house in Tampa, we traveled to Tybee Island, GA to visit friends. This is a long-time friend of mine and her family, and I had photographed them first last January. Little N is 6 months and precious. This was his first beach trip and he seemed to enjoy the sand and the water. What a smile! Although close to dusk while photographing, the beach was busy but we were able to avoid the crowds close to the dunes but under the pier was a challenge.
